Screw you Canada.

Well the canadians managed to crap the bed this morning.  A loss to the US is even worse than a normal loss.  Next up is Russia.  I never watch hockey but I feel a sense of emptiness without the consistent chatter about games and the electricity in the air when its a close call.  Football season is coming to an end sooner than I wish.  This will be a slow, slow, excruciatingly slow February - April.  Alas, summer is around the corner and everyone can go back to remembering that there is a world outside that frosted up window.  Go out and enjoy it.  Ice fishing anyone?

And so it begins.

Happy new year to you all.  I have to say, this new year is starting off with a bang.  I was able to ring it in with the most amazing man I have ever had the pleasure of knowing, other than my father.  I couldn't have been happier when midnight came around.  Cheers-ing with friends and the sweet, sweet kisses that always follow the count down.  I was frightened he wouldn't be home in time to bring the new year in in style with me, but by the grace of god, all the planets aligned and we were very blessed this year.

I am also blessed and privileged to be writing this post on my brand new and very first laptop.  I couldn't be happier.  This is such an amazing feeling to have so much power at my own fingertips.  Wherever and whenever I wish.  I hope this will empower me to make a change and write down my feelings, accomplishments and whatever might happen along the way.  I feel the need to archive these things frequently now.
